How "Open" is the Hardware?

On second thought, I'm not sure just how "proprietary" the Turbo Chameleon 64 really is. I see lots of documentation on the original project's site here http://www.syntiac.com/chameleon.html and it's rather extensive. There are even LGPL sources for it on Github. Can someone comment on how "open" the hardware is? —Load81 (talk)

It's easier to tell what is proprietary: The actual layout of the PCB (the Schematic is public) plus the C64 core and menu software (some parts have been published as examples for other core developers)
