Hi 194.255.89.142‎,

Isn't it better to use CHR$()-Code as control chars. Also PRINT CHR$(18)"Reverse" than PRINT " RReverse" --Jodigi 22:46, 3 October 2007 (CEST)

I'd say for the experienced C-64 both recognizing the R and typing CTRL + 9 is a tad quicker than typing C H R SHIFT+8 1 8 SHIFT+9, but the CHR$ option might arguably be a bit more easy on the inexperienced reader.
On the other hand, I've already written one example where those reversed control characters appear in the output from the machine, so in many respects the readers might as well get used to them, both on the screen and on C64-wiki... – said 194.255.89.142‎

That is right. To use control chars are very quicker than CHR$-Codes, but our target is it, that all people - also newbies - can use our infos without any problems.
Also the use of CHR$(x)-Code is for newbies sometimes easier than a control char and the error-rate is lower by using CHR$(x)-Codes.
But your programs and infos are very good. Thank you for the good work...
How long do you use a C64?

Here I am again, this time under a user name :-) I got my SX64 in the spring of 1985 (*gets that nostalgic gaze in the eyes*)
As for the control char representation on these page, I'll comply and use CHR rather than reversed chars. You might want to put this and other such general style guidelines on some "style manual" page.
Oh, and another thing: Why the external forum rather than the "Village Pump" page like Wikipedia and other wikis have...?
