SLAY Radio is an internet-based radio station, transmitting from Gothenburg (Göteborg) in Sweden dedicated to playing remixes and tunes based on music from the Commodore 64 computer.

History[edit | edit source]

The station was created by Kenneth Slaygon Mutka in 1999 or 2000 (he is unsure of the exact date).

In late 2003, It started to broadcast live shows, broadening the audience to people that did not have any relation at all to the Commodore 64. During live shows DJs and fans come together in an Internet Relay Chat channel.

Playlist[edit | edit source]

Normally, the station plays a selection of music from its rotational playlist of Commodore 64 remixes that have mainly come from Remix.Kwed.Org and commercial CDs from C64Audio.com. Registered members can select songs from this playlist from the website.

Shows[edit | edit source]

A live show is when the rotational is switched off, and a live broadcaster (or sometimes more) takes over. Request can still usually be made via the website, or Internet Relay Chat channel. However some shows, for instance SLAY Rated, do not allow requests.
