The MOS Technology 6560 is the NTSC version of the Video Interface Chip (VIC) used in the Commodore VIC-20 home computer. It was designed by Al Charpentier in 1977 and was originally intended for low-cost CRT terminals and games consoles. The PAL version is the MOS Technology 6561.

It was quite advanced for its time and price point, with 16-color graphics, 176 x 184 resolution and light pen support. Additionally, although usually listed as a graphics chip it also included a four channel sound system, consisting of three square wave and one white noise generators.

Significantly, it was the direct predecessor of the more advanced 6567/8562 (VIC-II) used in the C64.
