One of the first British video game developers, Codemasters Software Company Limited or Codemasters was founded by Richard and David Darling in 1986. The company developed a lot of low-budget games for the homecomputers C64/16, Amiga, BBC Micro, Acorn Electron, Amstrad CPC, Atari XL/ST and ZX Spectrum. In addition, a series of computer games collections was published by Codemasters.
