The C2N232 is an interface for data transfers between a Commodore computers' Datassette port and a computer equipped with a RS-232 port. The advantage of this interface is that both interfaces are standardised and found quite often. The communication between the Datassette port and the RS-232 interface is translated by an Atmel AVR-RISC microcontroller, so that the usual Commodore KERNAL routines for cassette loading and saving can be used to transfer data between different systems.
