1541-III

The 1541-III is a hardware mass storage device using an SD/MMC card and interfacing with the IEC bus. It is based on a Microchip PIC microcontroller. The most prominent use of 1541-III is emulation/replacement of a Commodore-1541 disk drive for a C64.

1541-III was created by Jan Derogee. A smaller stripped-down version (no display or buttons) for the C64DTV has been created by Pyrofer and Jussi Saily. MMC2IEC was inspired by 1541-III.
